Mrs. Nishanthi Gamage is a Lecturer attached to the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, since August 2025. She holds a B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) degree from the University of Moratuwa, specializing in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, obtained in 2007.

She began her professional career as an Engineer at Huawei Technologies, where she worked in Circuit Switching for four years and received international training in Core Network technologies. She subsequently served as an Electrical Engineer at the Ceylon Electricity Board for one year.

Later, she joined Bharti Airtel (Pvt) Ltd as an Assistant Manager in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) domain, where she worked for three years, gaining extensive industry experience in telecommunications and networking.
