About

Umesha Sandarenu is a Lecturer attached to the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering. She obtained her BSc. Eng. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka with First Class Honours in 2017. She has worked as an instructor and a temporary lecturer at the same department after the graduation. During her undergraduate studies she was an active member engaging in various faculty events of IEEE, IAS and EIES and the founding chapter chair of Industry Applications Society IEEE Chapter at University of Ruhuna.

Umesha Sandarenu has worked as the Engineer – Data Analysis & AI attached to Talent Development Centre at SLTMobitel in her previous employment. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Business Analytics degree at the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) in collab with Robert Gordon University, mastering her knowledge in Data Science, Machine Learning and Business Analytics.
