About
Ms. Danusi Saumyadi obtained her BSc Eng (Hons) in Materials Science and Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, in 2017. Prior to joining the University of Ruhuna in 2026, she gained several years of industry experience in the private sector, where she served as an Assistant Manager – Production. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Faculty of Business, University of Moratuwa, further developing her academic and research expertise. In recognition of her professional achievements and potential as a young woman engineer, she was awarded Second Runner-Up at the IET Young Woman Engineer of the Year 2023, organized by the IET Sri Lanka Chapter.
