Hulftsdorp Debates 2026

The Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna, congratulates its debating team for their exceptional performance at the prestigious Hulftsdorp Debates 2026. The highly competitive national debating tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Law College (SLLC), was held on August 8th and 9th, 2026, at the SLLC premises in Colombo. In a remarkable display of interdisciplinary synergy, engineering students teamed up with peers from the Faculty of Medicine to represent the University of Ruhuna. Facing intense competition from universities and higher education institutions across the island, the Ruhuna delegation demonstrated outstanding analytical skills, sharp rhetorical acumen and powerful logical reasoning throughout the rounds.
