Eminence 4.0, the fourth iteration of the inter-university competition, Eminence, was a landmark event held on the 6th of April 2024. The competition was held at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna. Organized by the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, IEEE Student Branch, University of Ruhuna. The event aimed to foster innovation and creativity among female undergraduates in the fields of software, electronics, telecommunications, and electrical engineering.
The competition comprised of four challenging tasks:
- Task 01: Matlab Design
- Task 02: HackerRank Challenge
- Task 03: Network Simulation
- Task 04: Innovation Task
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from various universities, including the University of Moratuwa, the University of Peradeniya, and the University of Colombo School of Computing. Despite some teams being unable to participate on the event day, the spirit of collaboration and innovation remained strong, making Eminence 4.0 a truly memorable event.
