The fourth Session of the “INSPIRE” Webinar Series, which the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies organized to guide engineering undergraduates on “Groom Yourself to Become a Better Public Speaker – I”, was successfully held via Zoom on 29th April 2023 from 7.00 PM to 8.45 PM with the active participation of undergraduates of the faculty. The resource person, Eng. (Mrs.) Noorul Munawwara is a senior engineer in the country who has mastered public speaking as a toastmaster. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and a retired Additional General Manager at the Ceylon Electricity Board.
During the webinar, she shared her valuable life experience and lessons learned in his professional life to guiding engineering undergraduates to groom them to become better public speakers targeting professional success. She has revealed many strategies for engineering undergraduates to master public speaking skills. As well as she highlighted the importance of developing leadership and public relations skills as a senior engineer in the country while sharing numerous experiences of her life. Hence, it was a productive session for the students, allowing them to learn from an eminent public speaker in Sri Lanka to drive their professional journeys to success. Four talented engineering undergraduates in 2nd year played the following roles during the session to make it a successful webinar.
