Dr. N. W. Prins presented the oration at the Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists Annual Congress (ASNAC) on 18th February 2022 held at the Shangri-La, Colombo.
The oration was titled “Monkeys Playing Video Games Lead to a Paralysed Man Walking” where she presented her work of developing brain-machine interfaces using marmoset monkeys and how to lead to finally doing an invasive clinical trial with a paralyzed person who was able to perform several upper extremity tasks and also walking.
It was the first time an engineer had given the oration at an Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists Annual Congress.
