Champions of CyberZee ’24 (Cyber security Quiz Competition)

In a fierce competition involving over 40 teams in the University category, Team CypherX from the Computer Engineering Program in DEIE at Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna emerged as the Champions of CyberZee 2024, an Inter-University Cybersecurity Quiz Competition organized by the ISACA Student Chapter of University of Kelaniya.CyberZee 2024 was structured into multiple rounds, beginning with a preliminary quiz round, followed by four more rounds of intense quizzes in the semifinals and finals. In addition to the quiz rounds, participants also faced a unique challenge—a timed speech where they were required to deliver a 5-minute speech on a cybersecurity topic provided on the spot. The combination of technical knowledge, quick thinking, and speaking skills was crucial in progressing through each stage of the competition.

Team CypherX showcased exceptional skills and determination throughout the event, excelling in all rounds and ultimately securing the Championship Trophy. Their remarkable achievement highlights not only their deep understanding of cybersecurity but also their ability to think critically under pressure.
