The Faculty Staff Cricket Tournament 2025 was successfully held on March 13, bringing together teams from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. The event, held at the university sports ground, provided a platform for faculty members to engage in friendly competition while fostering teamwork and camaraderie.
The tournament featured thrilling matches, with each team displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship. After an exciting series of games, the Faculty of Engineering academic staff emerged victorious, securing the championship title, while the Faculty of Medicine academic staff finished as runners-up. The event concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding performances and team spirit.
This annual tournament continues to strengthen inter-faculty relationships and promote a healthy balance between academic and extracurricular activities. Special thanks go to Prof. Chaminda Karunasena, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with the deans of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, as well as Mr. Indika, Mr. Eranga, Mr. Lakmal De Silva, and other staff members for their efforts in organizing this successful event.
