  • Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Specialist (with WorleyParsons Canada Services Ltd., Calgary, Alberta Canada) providing geotechnical engineering input for variety of infrastructure, municipal, landfill and remediation, mining, liquid natural gas and pipeline projects – (2013 – 2018)

Major projects:

  • Pre-FEED Geoscience Surveys │ Tullow Kenya B.V. │ 2017-2018 – Pre-FEED Geoscience Surveys for oil filed developments in South Lokichar Basin of Kenya – The work involved review and interpretation of geotechnical and geophysical data for site characterization, settlement analysis, liquefaction analysis, and design of shallow and deep foundations.
  • Dam Safety Reviews │ Syncrude Canada Ltd.│ 2017-2018 – The dam safety reviews for various tailings containment dams for a major oil sands project in Northern Alberta – Canada – Slope stability and seepage analysis and seismic hazard assessment in accordance with Canadian Dam Association (CDA) guidelines with application to mining dams.
  • Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project │ TANAP │ 2015-2016 – Geotechnical design of compressor and metering stations for construction of an 1850 km-long pipeline to supply gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey and Europe – Design of shallow and deep foundations, estimation of settlements originating from earthworks, assessment of fill material suitability, stability analysis of slopes, and assessment of seismic slope displacements.
  • LNG Terminal in North-Western BC │Confidential Client │ 2014-2018 – Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Early Works Detailed Design to develop a new liquid natural gas (LNG) export terminal in North-Western British Columbia, Canada – Review and interpretation of geotechnical data, geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations for various site structures, long term settlement monitoring and analysis, stability analysis for a flood prevention structure, liquefaction and ground improvement analysis
  • Kami Iron Ore Project │ The Kami Mine Limited Partnership │ 2012-2013 – Front-end engineering design of a mine development project in southern Labrador, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada,  consisting of an open pit ore mine and the associated infrastructure required for processing and shipment of the ore – The work included review of geotechnical data, planning and scheduling of supplementary geotechnical investigation, interpretation of the findings of field investigations and laboratory testing results, provision of geotechnical foundation recommendations for shallow and deep foundations for major water crossing structures and site facilities, development of construction sequence for a mine tailings sedimentation facility, stability analysis of slopes of tailings impoundment dams, analysis of mine tailings consolidation process, provision of construction recommendations for overburden and waste rock dumps, provision of engineering support to identification of construction burrow sources.

  • Lafarge Exshaw Cement Plant Expansion │ LaFarge North America │ 2013-2015 – Construction of an industrial plant expansion development in Exshaw, Alberta – The work involved data management and preparation of construction completions reports on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of construction works including pile installation, earthworks, and construction of shallow foundations.
  • Sunset Gas Plant │ Shell Canada Energy │ 2014-2015 – Geotechnical support to the pre-front-end engineering design of a gas processing plant development in north-eastern British Columbia by carrying out an independent gap analysis and review of the previously completed geotechnical work including review of engineering interpretation of subsurface conditions and reassessment of pile lateral capacity
  • Expansion of Christina Lake Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) Facilities │ MEG Energy │ 2014 – Geotechnical support to design of well pads and associated access road structures for an expansion of Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) facilities in Christina Lake, Alberta – Review of existing geotechnical data pertaining to site characterization, provision of foundation and construction recommendations for engineering in the presence of muskeg and cold weather conditions

  • Canada Olympic Park – Legacy II Ski Lift Fill │ WinSport Canada │ 2013-2014 – Geotechnical engineering for a series of development upgrade works at the ski area at Canada Olympic Park, Calgary, Alberta – The work involved participation in field geotechnical investigation and installation of deformation and ground water monitoring instrumentation, collection of monitoring data, processing and interpretation of monitoring data, and reporting on the stability of the Legacy II Ski Lift fill embankment.
  • Westbrook Mixed Commercial and Residential Development – Geotechnical Foundation Recommendations │ EMWS Holdings Ltd. │ 2013 – Geotechnical field investigation and foundation recommendations for a multi-storey mixed commercial and residential development in Calgary, Alberta – The work involved participation in primary field geotechnical investigation and front-end planning and execution of the subsequent field geotechnical investigation at the site, and interpretation of subsurface conditions leading to provision of geotechnical foundation recommendations.

  • Bar-C Site Remediation │ Imperial Oil Limited │ 2014 – Geotechnical engineering for the conceptual and detailed design and construction of a landfill development in the Canadian Artic which required paying attention to beyond typical landfill design considerations to align the design with northern climatic conditions and permafrost – The work involved thermal modelling for landfill cap design.
