The newspaper article, “Toxic waters: How Galle’s rivers are becoming invisible hotspots for superbugs and disease risk,” by Dr. Mohomed Shayan with the Collaboration of Hokkaido University, highlights a critical public health crisis regarding antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Sri Lanka’s urban waterways. The aim of that newspaper article is to disseminate the research findings to the general public.
