Research Experience
Development and Field Testing of a Scalable Wave Energy Converter for Shallow-Sea Wave Conditions of the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka: designed a point-absorber wave energy converter optimised for shallow seas (CAD in SolidWorks, structural FEM); ran DualSPHysics simulations across sea states; built and field-tested a prototype with IoT telemetry; authored an award-winning conference paper.
High-Efficiency Gearbox for a 100 kW Tidal Stream Turbine (2024): concept design for high torque density using KISSsoft gear sizing and ISO-based checks, with FEM verification and manufacturing drawings.
