Scorpion X – A team of third-year Computer Engineering undergraduates from Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna has won the 1st place at CodeX, a prestigious all-island coding competition organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa which was held in 3rd of May 2025. Held in celebration of the CSE department’s 40th anniversary, the competition challenged participants in coding, development, debugging and algorithmic problem-solving.
The winning team, Scorpion X, is composed of Mr. T.M.T.A.B. Tennekoon (EG/2022/5364) as team leader, Mr. T.M.R.G. Thennakoon (EG/2022/5369) and Mr. K.A.D.H. Keragala (EG/2022/5142).
The team continues to bring pride to our faculty by securing top positions in numerous all-island competitions. In addition to their competitive success, they have developed the current Maintenance and Complaints Management system to streamline the management of complaints and requests within our faculty.
