Dr. (Eng.) K.M.S.Y. Konara attached to the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna was awarded the President’s Awards for Scientific Research which is one of the most prestigious scientific research awards in Sri Lanka. Dr. Konara has been honored with President’s Award for one of his research articles published in the Renewable Energy, Elsevier Journal titled “Power Flow Management Controller within a Grid Connected Photovoltaic based Active Generator as a Finite State Machine using Hierarchical Approach with Droop Characteristics” in 2020. President’s Awards for Scientific Research are granted for high quality journal articles published in top ranked prestigious journals by Sri Lankan scientists affiliated with a Sri Lankan institution. The awarding ceremony was organized by the National Research Council of Sri Lanka and held on 21st November-2023 at BMICH, Colombo.
