
Team Cyclone X proudly achieved the 2nd Runners-up position at Coderally 6.0 – the inter-university hackathon organized by the IEEE Computer Society of Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT).
The competition attracted more than 260 teams representing leading state and private universities and institutes across Sri Lanka. After successfully completing a one-month long series of selection rounds, Team Cyclone X advanced to the final stage of the competition. At the grand finals, held as a 24-hour hackathon, the team demonstrated their skills, creativity, and teamwork to secure the 2nd Runners-up position.
The team comprised T.M.T.A.B. Tennekoon (EG/2022/5364), Y.C. Pandigama (EG/2022/5232), T.M.R.G. Thennakoon (EG/2022/5369), W.A.P.V. Kumara (EG/2022/5156), and M.C. Maduranga (EG/2022/5176), whose commitment and collaboration were instrumental in achieving this success.
Team Cyclone X was officially recognized for their accomplishment at the awards ceremony of Coderally 6.0 held on 13.09.2025, celebrating their remarkable achievement in one of Sri Lanka’s most competitive hackathon platforms.
