Prof. Sujeewa Amarasena, Vice Chancellor, University of Ruhuna and Dr. B. Sumith, Head, Department of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, Prof. H.C.P. Karunasena and Dr. Buddhika Annasiwatte visited the Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy (ADMA), AD Ports Group, UEA to explore opportunities for mutual collaboration and to observe the facilities of latest Full Mission Engine Room Simulators used for maritime education. Director, Navigation and higher official of ADMA welcomed us and UOR discussed possible opportunities for collaborative research and student exchange programmes. We were provided tour of campus facilities, including Engine and Bridge simulators and workshops. A premier initiative by AD Ports Group for the advancement of the maritime industry, Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy provides world-class maritime education and training for the next generation of maritime industry leaders in the UAE and the region.
