The resource person was Eng. The resource person was Eng. Dr. Sumudu Herath who was excelled in academic and extra-curricular activities during the undergraduate period. His dedicated and well-balanced undergraduate period at the University of Moratuwa has supported him to won the Gold Medal for first rank in Civil Engineering &amp; achieved a record-breaking GPA of 4.12(\/4.20) in 2016 which remains highest in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. During the undergraduate period he has involved in numerous extra-curricular activities like serving in the leading roles of clubs like Rotaract and being the batch representative for the department. His excellent academic performance has secured him a scholarship to continue his PhD studies in the prestigious University of Cambridge in UK just finishing the undergraduate studies. He could completed his PhD in 2020 and currently, he serves as a Lecturer attached to the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. During the webinar, he has shared his valuable experience and lessons learned in his professional life to guide undergraduates on how to balance university life while identifying their priorities as students. It was a fruitful session for the students as it gave the opportunity to them to learn from the life experiences of a successful young engineering professional in Sri Lanka to drive their own professional journeys into success.
