PLC design workshop

• 8th of May & 3rd of June 2017

IET student branch has successfully conducted the PLC design workshop series 2017 in faculty premises. We invited to all the students of Electrical and Information Engineering department and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering department. The workshops were held at department computer center. Introducing the PLC software to the students, especially for new comers of the department and giving an idea about fundamentals of the PLC software were the objective of the workshop.

Robotics Workshop

• 19th of April, 05th of May, 16th of May 2017

EIES of Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna with the collaboration IET student branch organized ‘Robotics Workshop 2017’ in the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering with the participation of students of the department. The workshop was conducted by the final year students in three sessions. The main objective of the workshop was giving an exposure and inspiring the undergraduates in the field of robotics.

Annual General Meeting - 2017

• 4th June 2016

On the 04th of April 2017, AGM of the IET Ruhuna chapter was held at the Faculty premises. For this occasion head of the department Dr. Keerthi Gunawickrama, senior lecturer Dr. Cyril Kariyawasam, senior lecturer Dr. R.P.S. Chandrasena, lecturer Mr. P.S. Ranaweera, lecturer Mr. H.W.H.L. Walpita, lecturer Ms. M.A.S.T. Ireshika and lecturer Mr. K.M.S.Y. Konara was participated. The students of the Electrical & Information Engineering Department representing three years also joined this event. This Annual general meeting was called to elect new members for the society.
