6DOF Robot Research Arm(Quanser)

DMME recently purchased an open architecture 6 DOF serial robot manipulator with simulation and 3D visualization for advanced robotics research. The robot is manufactured by Kinova, Canada. It is specifically designed for Quanser in order to make it open-architecture and usable by MATLAB/Simulink via QUARC control software with MICO blockset. It is a high-performance, safe and affordable (relative to industrial-level) robot arm, allowing researchers to design their own controller in Simulink and deploy it in real-time. Further, it can be used on robot-human interaction, assistive robotics, activities of daily life (ADL) application, robot learning, mobile robotics, and other areas.
